Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah September 24, 2019 Written Update: The Gokuldham ladies witness child labour
In the latest episode of Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah we see how the ladies of Gokuldham complain about the regular vegetable vendor only to know that she is fighting illness.
The episode starts with a recap of what happened in the previous episode. Anjali tells Taarak to finish the oats before he leaves for work. She gives ginger to Jethalal as he asked for it. He tells her that it's a regular problem as Daya isn't there at home and also the vegetable vendor isn't available. Anjali tells her that the ladies of the society are going to the vegetable market. Taarak declines having oats as he says he doesn't like it. Anjali is feeding him oats when Popatlal walks in. He says that Taarak is lucky to have a wife like Anjali. Popatlal tells Anjali to look for a suitable bride for him who is just like her. Popatlal tells them that he is in need of a cucumber however Anjali tells they don't have cucumber. Anjali tells him the same that she told Jethalal about going to the vegetable market. He asks her to bargain as the vegetables are expensive. Taarak offers him an oats breakfast however Popatlal escapes from there. Again, Anjali is feeding Taarak when Bhide walks in. Taarak asks him what has he come to take. Bhide tells them that he's there to give them a maintenance receipt.
Taarak offers him to have oats breakfast but Bhide says that breakfast is ready at home. Anjali is adamant that Taarak have oats. Bhide returns home and asks Madhavi to get tea and poha. Madhavi tells him that she did not make poha as onion got over as the vegetables vendor isn't coming. She tells him that all vegetables are getting over one by one. She offers him bread butter. Bhide unwillingly agrees. Tappu Sena arrives there calling out to Sonu. Goli eats the bread butter served for Bhide. Tappu Sena leaves for college. Bhide asks for more bread butter when Madhavi tells him that was the last bread slice they had. She offers to get him groundnut poha which Bhide accepts to eat. Madhavi tells him that she will get onions when she goes to the vegetable market with the ladies. The ladies call out to Madhavi and tell her that they are waiting for her to leave for the vegetable market. The ladies discuss how their life has come to a standstill because of the vegetable vendors absence. While they are in their way they see a child selling vegetables.
They enquire why is she selling vegetables being a child. She tells them that she has to earn a lot of money. Madhavi asks her if she goes to school. The child tells them that she had to leave her school as she wants to earn a lot of money. She asks the ladies to buy vegetables from them. Anjali tells the ladies that if they buy the vegetables from her they would be encouraging child labour. Komal suggests to buy the vegetables for now and later explain to her parents to work and send their daughter to study. They decide not to buy vegetables from the regular vegetable vendor. The child reveals that she is the vegetable vendors daughter. She tells them her mother is unwell and they don't have money for her treatment. The child tells them she wants to sell the ornaments as she needs money. The ladies realize that it ornaments are made of real gold. She tells them that the ornaments are of her mother which she wants to sell to get medicines for her mother. Anjali gathers all the ladies to discuss the situation. They all decide to meet the vegetable vendor. They tell the child to wait while they return after keeping the vegetables. Madhavi tells Bhide that she is going out with the ladies and Bhide becomes inquisitive to know where they are going. Bhide tells Madhavi that he will also come with them. Madhavi tells him that they are going to the beauty parlour. He declines coming there. The ladies leave for the vegetable vendor's house along with the child
