Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah May 1, 2019 Written Update: Gokuldham residents capture Sevaklal in the act
Today we see how the Gokuldham society members are able to capture Sevaklal in the spy camera however more troubles lie ahead.
The episode starts with Jethalal meeting Sevaklal and admiring him working late at night for the public. Sevaklal calls a goon who is brought up in Garib Nagar and is going to administer the distribution of the phones. He says that he has arranged for tight security and no one from outside of Garib Nagar will be allowed in the premises. Just then, a man who is not a resident of Garib Nagar is caught in the premises and the goon interrogates him. Sevaklal intervenes and asks the goon to get him beaten up. Jethalal and Taarak Mehta are concerned for the society residents looking at the this. Just then, Babita and Iyer enter Garib Nagar and are questioned by a few men. They tell them that they stay in Garib Nagar however the men are not convinced.
Iyer and Babita quickly put up an act and convince the men that they belong to Garib Nagar. Bhide and Madhavi are searching for where the phones are being distributed when they bump into Dr. Haathi and Komal. They are confused about the lanes in Garib Nagar when they see two men carrying the phone. They decide to go in the direction they came from. Finally all the members reach the place where the phones are being distributed. They all discuss how corrupt Sevaklal is. Sevaklal asks Jethalal to distribute the phones as Jethalal told one of Sevaklal's men that even he wants to be part of this generous act. Jethalal gets stunned as if he does that he will be captured in the spy camera. Jethalal cleverly makes errors on purpose while distributing the phones. Sevaklal calls him back.
Jethalal tells Taarak Mehta to call Sodhi and check on their whereabouts. They both make an excuse and flee from there. Just then, the rest of the society members are going to take the phones when they bump into the goon who questions them on who they are. Jethalal comes there to rescue them and tells the goon that he knows them since a long time. Jethalal tells the goon to let the members go to collect the phones. Jethalal tells the goon that if the members go upset then the votes will not be for Sevaklal. The goon gets worried and lets them go. In the meantime, Taarak Mehta calls Popatlal to check on their whereabouts. Popatlal tells him that they both are leaving now to reach Garib Nagar. The members get in a queue to collect the phones. Bhide says that they will accept the phones only from Sevaklal.
Sevaklal starts distributing the phones to the members and is getting captured in the spy camera. Just then one of Sevaklal's men says that the 1000 phones are all distributed and now they will need to open the box with 5000 phones. Jethalal and Taarak Mehta think that their lie will be exposed now and decide to flee from there. Taarak Mehta and Jethalal try to convince Sevaklal that they were honoured to be part of this act and now they need to leave. Just then one of the residents who gets the phone box discovers only pieces of scrapped paper in the box and not the phone. All the society members look concerned.
