Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah March 18, 2019 Written Update: Popatlal’s chronic depression
Today in Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah, we see how everyone try to cheer up Popatlal.
In the previous episode, we see how the men of Gokuldham society try to cheer up Popatlal. Seeing Popatlal’s condition, Dr. Hathi fears Popatlal might have chronic depression and expresses his concern to Komal. Here, Babita, Anjali, Madhvi and Roshan suggest their respective husbands that they have to try and cheer up Popatlal somehow. Bapuji gets to know that Jethalal is still in bed while Tappu is leaving for college. Bapuji is furious that Jethalal was still in bed hence he wakes him up by beating a steel plate with a rolling pin. Just then, Iyer and Babita come to their residence. Jethalal tells everyone that he is genuinely concerned for Popatlal’s situation and hence he could not sleep on time the last night.
Tappu decides to go and cheer Popatlal and Bapuji agrees with this since Popatlal loves all the kids of the society. Tappu calls Goli along in his mission to cheer Popatlal up. They offer him to go with them for a movie. He declines the offer. Tappu and Goli return home dejected and explain to Bapuji and Jethalal about Popatlal’s condition. Bapuji decides to get involved and Tappu and Goli also go along. They see that Popatlal is singing an old hindi song lying on the overhead water tank. He tells them that there is nothing left in his life hence he is reading hurtful Shayari and singing sad songs. Bapuji tells him to come down. However he continues with his ordeal. Bapuji tries to console and motivate Popatlal.
He even offers to take him to the garden and have ice cream together however Popatlal declines again.
