Kasautii Zindagii Kay June 24, 2019 Written Update: Veena is arrested
Today in Kasautii Zindagii Kay, Veena recalls a shocking fact about the stolen necklace while Mr Bajaj stirs more trouble for Anurag. Later, the police take Veena into their custody.
In the last episode, Anurag defends Veena when Mohini accuses her of theft. Meanwhile, Mr. Bajaj desperately looks for a lost record. Mohini decides to call the police to inform them about the theft. While Anurag tried to convince Mohini otherwise, she gets upset as he was still siding with the Sharmas. She goes ahead and calls the police and reasons out with Anurag and Anupam that she needed to claim the insurance money. Here, Nivedita calls at the Sharma house and tells Suman to recheck the boxes of gifts that they had received from them during the rituals, as she wanted to know whether or not Mohini’s inherited jewellery was in any of those boxes. She requests Suman to ask Veena to check the boxes, as she thought the jewellery might mistakenly gone in any of those boxes. Suman takes offence and hangs up the phone. She rejoins Anurag in Mohini’s room and learns about Mohini calling the police.
Prerna convinces Suman that Nivedita might have just inquired and calms Suman. She fetches her phone and calls Anurag, as Nivedita did not pick her phone. She tells Anurag that Veena doesn’t have the jewellery and that there was some misunderstanding. Anurag assures Prerna that he wanted to just confirm the news and that she did not have to worry as he himself would look for the jewellery in the house. Mohini overhears Anurag’s conversation and tells Anurag to ask for the picture of the jewellery that Veena had. Prerna overhears Mohini’s angry words and tells Anurag that she would click the picture of the jewellery and send it to him. Veena goes to fetch the jewellery in rage and gets shocked to see the simple jewellery had been replaced by the heavy one in the box. She comes down and tells Prerna about the replaced jewellery, just when the doorbell rings and Shivani gets shocked to see police outside.
In the meantime, Mr. Das comes to the Basu Bari to inform Anurag about some office problems, but he gets angry on Mr. Das as he brought office tensions at home. Nivedita takes the lead and takes Mr. Das with her as she knew how critical it was to manage Basu Publication’s affairs were at the moment. Mr. Das informs Nivedita about the cheques which were bouncing repeatedly because of the freeze on the company’s account. Nivedita tells Mr. Das that she would have to inform Anurag but Mr. Das tells Nivedita that Anurag knows about the prevailing conditions. He also tells Nivedita that it was none other than Mr. Bajaj, who was putting pressure on the bank to put the Basu Publication in a compromising position. Here, the police arrests Veena for the theft while Mohini decided to separate Anurag and Prerna forever by using Veena. She repeatedly puts Veena in a compromising position, to break her arrogance, so that he herself would stop Prerna from marrying Anurag. Veena had to face humiliation, as she got into the police van. Veena was taken into custody while Prerna, Shekhar and Shivani requested the police to leave Veena. The police tells Prerna that the only way they can leave Veena was when Mohini would decide to take her complain back.
