Today in Kasautii Zindagii Kay, Komolika hires a contract killer to get rid of Prerna. But, she is left baffled when Mohini gives her a news.
In the previous episode, Anurag and Prerna find themselves drawn to each other in spite of resistance, while Komolika breathes fire. Elsewhere, Moloy gains consciousness! The nurse immediately calls the doctor, seeing Moloy move. The doctors immediately come and examines Moloy. The doctor tells the nurse to inform Anurag as there was remarkable improvement in Moloy’s health. Here, Komolika was breathing fire as she had heard his conversation with Anupam but puts a pretentious face. Komolika wondered why was her charm not working on Anurag, as there was no one she knew, who did not fall for her beauty. Komolika tries to get close to Anurag while he shrugs her and rushes to the office. Komolika recollects that everytime she tried to come close to Anurag, he was had some excuse to stay away from her.
Komolika, in rage of getting rejected, decides to give Prerna’s existence the same destiny as she had given to Moloy. Later, Vikrant comes and gives Prerna the news that the contract papers were signed. As Anurag was leaving for office in jealousy, Prerna stops him and hands him a fashion magazine. She tells Anurag that in comparison to Basu Publication’s magazine, their designs were better than his. Anurag explained Prerna that the cover page of their magazine was similar looking to his and that Basu Publications’ magazine were launching way before Prerna was thinking to launch, hence the market will consider them to be fraud and copy cats. Anurag also told Prerna how their investments will go into losses as no one would buy a similar looking magazine to theirs.
After Anurag leaves, Vikrant tells Prerna that although he did not like what Anurag spoke, he was right and that they should work on their designs again. Prerna assures Vikrant that Anurag was just trying to lower their morale and that he did not have any magazine to publish. Vikrant trusted on Prerna’s decisions and leaves. In the meantime, Anurag and Anupam reach office, before which Anurag makes a call to the editor and tells him to change the page of his magazine. Anurag tells the editor to change the fashion page to a different topic and to remove the fashion page completely. Anupam questions Anurag on his actions when Anurag tells him that Prerna had already suffered because of him and that he wanted her to win. He tells Anupam that this was the first step Prerna had taken against Anurag and he wanted her project to succeed.
Here, Komolika makes a call to an assassin and tells him to kill Prerna for the money she was offering him. Mohini tells Nivedita that she wasn’t feeling good and that she wanted her to stay with her. Prerna and Komolika brings Mohini breakfast and while they were arguing about which breakfast was healthy for her, Moloy’s doctor calls and informs Mohini about Moloy regain his consciousness. Learning about Moloy’s well-being, Komolika gets shocked but pretends to be happy for the Basu's happiness.
