In the latest episode of The Kapil Sharma Show, we see how Bollywood’s stylish director/ Producer Karan Johar and the versatile Kajol share their film experiences with the audience
The show starts with Kapil Sharma telling the audience that he was amazed by the language used by Karan Johar in his autobiography ‘The unsuitable boy’. He also shared that post reading the book he marked more than 100 words to find the meaning of those words later. Karan Johar and Kajol are the guests tonight.
Kapil wants to know why Karan always takes Kajol in his movies. Karan says that she is his best friend and the best actor and always the first choice. Karan tells us how he wanted Kajol to do a cameo in the song ‘Mahi vey’ from ‘Kal ho na ho’ and Kajol agreed to do it despite the fact that her daughter Nysa was just a month old. He also shares that he even wanted Kajol to be the lead actress in ‘Kabhi Alvida na Kehna’ however Nysa was too young and Kajol couldn’t accommodate the request. Later Karan talks about the iconic film ‘Agneepath’ which was originally made by his father and later re-made by him was to have the famous song ‘Jumma Chumma’. However, Amitabh suggested the Yash Johar to use another song as his character in the movie was of a don and the song wouldn’t do justice to his character. Thus the song ‘Alibaba’ was put in ‘Agneepath’ and ‘Jumma Chumma’ was put in ‘Hum’. It is also revealed that Archana Puran Singh was the first choice for the song ‘Jumma Chumma’ however was changed to Kimi Katkar.
Karan makes a revelation that Kareena Kapoor’s character ‘Poo’ from ‘Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gham’ was inspired by ‘Ms. Braganza’ from ‘Kuch Kuch Hota Hai’. Archana tells the audience how memorable was Kuch Kuch Hota Hai for her in her career. She also shares that Karan had a big role in making the character famous with its gesture, posture and style.
