Ishqbaaz written update August 9: Shivaay's car is blasted by Sultaan's goons
Anika breaks down on hearing about Shivaay's accident.
Shivaay rushes for a meeting and takes Bhavya's car which make Sultaan and his goons think that it's Bhavya in the car and they attack.
Anika starts feeling uneasy and starts to get anxious and worried about Shivaay. She starts to panic as she thinks he is in danger. The entire Oberoi mansion is worried about Shivaay as none of them are able to get through him. Omkara wants to stop Anika-Vikram's engagement and in the process has an argument with Pinky.
Meanwhile the family hears the news of a car that has been blasted on the highway and Bhavya is shocked and tells the Oberois that it's her car and that Shivaay was in it. The entire family is taken back and is shocked to hear that. Anika is furious on hearing about Shivaay's accident and tries to go and find him. Omkara and Rudra stop her and just then Pinky starts to blame Anika for Shivaay's accident.
Pinky comes forward to throw Anika outside the Oberoi mansion but Omkara stops her.
Bhavya blames herself for Shivaay's accident where as Anika completely breaks down. Anika confides in dadi and blames herself for Shivaay's accident. Dadi consoles Anika.
OmRu inform Anika that during the blast Shivaay wasn't in the car it was just the driver, Anika is relieved but still worried about Shivaay. Sahil is back in the house from boarding school and looks for Shivaay. Anika is afraid of telling Sahil the truth and OmRu try to distract him. In the process OmRu start missing Shivaay and are worried about his well-being, they console each other.
Swetlana hides in her wardrobe as she is terrified of seeing Tej's spirit, Jhanvi tries to push Swetlana to a limit where she can return all of Tej's secrets. Anika is worried as Shivaay has not returned home.
Swetlana calls a paranormalist to find out if there really is Tej's spirit around. The lady tells Swetlana that Tej's spirit is present and won't stop troubling them till he finishes his incomplete tasks.
Anika and the family gathers as Anika is about to tie a rakhi to Sahil but Sahil insists on waiting for Shivaay which makes everybody around worried.
Anika starts missing Shivaay and recalls all the memories and moments she shared with him. Later Sahil agrees to celebrate Rakshabandhan.
Meanwhile, Swetlana is horrified of the planned paranormal activities happening around her. To Be Continued.
