Ishqbaaz May 19 written update: Anika asks Shivaay why did he lie about Nayantara
Anika finds out that Nayantara is not her mom, she confronts Shivaay.
The episode starts with Anika crying her heart out as she is unable to digest the fact that Nayantara is her mother. She later confronts Nayantara and asks her if she is really her mother, how could she leave her. Nayantara tells her that she had left her at an orphanage with a heavy heart to which Anika says that what if she had a sibling. Nayantara says that with god's grace, she did not have any sibling. Anika leaves saying she has gotten an answer to her questions.
She sits near the pool side and looks at the DNA test reports. Dadi maa comes and tries to talk to her. After Dadi leaves, Anika finds that the reports have been tampered with. She sees that Shivaay has put a sticker on the No match part. She gets shocked and wonders why would Shivaay lie to her.
In the meanwhile, Saumya and Rudra take a step to bury their grudges and differences.
Later, at the dinner table, Nayantara tells that for the first time she is having dinner with her daughter's in-laws. When someone questions where is Anika, she fake cries saying that Anika hasn't accepted her as mother and probably feels ashamed to do so. Anika enters and say not at all Ma. She then sits along with the family for dinner.
She then texts Shivaay that why did he lie to which Shivaay is left perplexed. Then she texts him saying that she knows Nayantara is not her mother. They exchange a few conversation through text and Shivaay leaves hurriedly after receiving a call. Anika tries to stop him but he pays no heed to it.
