Ishqbaaz May 9 written update: Shivaay and Anika are in a dilemma on how to reveal each other's secret
Shivaay and Anika unravel a truth about each other each.
The episode starts with Anika confronting Mahi about him being Shivaay's twin brother. Mahi tries to dismiss it but Anika stands firm on her grounds saying she has proofs. On the other hand, Shivaay is questioned about Anika and her family by the press. This agitates him and he retorts saying that is none of their business. However, they must be assured that she comes from a good family. At this moment, Nayantara enters who claims to be Anika's mom. This shocks Shivaay.
Meanwhile, Anika tries to persuade Mahi to come home and tell everyone the truth. She questions him if he doesn't miss his family, doesn't want to be with them? Mahi has an emotional outburst where he says that everything has always been about Shivaay. He has no identity at all. Everything and everyone only cares about Shivaay, like he is some trash. Anika tries to pacify him. She tells him that she completely understands how does it feel to be called an illegitimate child and so forth.
Amidst this, Mahi reveals to Anika that Pinky is not Shivaay's mother. This comes as a huge shock to Anika. On the other hand, Nayantara creates a scene saying that she is a bar dancer and is Anika's mother. When a journalist asks her that he has seen her somewhere, she says, he must have seen her in the dance bar where she is extremely popular. Pinky is happy seeing this.
Anika is devastated knowing the truth. She calls Omkara to share the news with him but stops midway and changes the topic. Omkara senses that something is wrong. Aniak wonders how can she hide SHivaay's biggest truth from him? On the other hand, Shivaay leaves the press conference in the middle and asks Nayantara to follow him.
