Ishqbaaz May 8 written update: Mahi and Shivaay are twin brothers
Anika is shocked to know that Mahi and Shivaay are blood-related.
The episode starts with Anika getting emotional seeing Shivaay'ssweet gestures. She shares her innermost fears with Shivaay and tells him that she is scared that her happiness will be short lived as God is never on her side. Shivaay assures her that he won't let anything wrong happen to her. As Shivaay leaves to get ready for the press conference, Anika receives a call from Khannaji. She is apprehensive about receiving the call as she recalls the promise she has taken with Shivaay that they won't try to dig into each other's past. She decides to receive and tell Khannaji that she isn't interested in knowing anything but to her surprise the call is answered by the Dr who without much adieu tells her that the blood samples are a match which means they are both blood-related. Anika is shocked to hear this.
On the other hand, Shivaay gets into an argument with Pinky over the pooja issue. While Pinky continues to list the importance of the pooja, Shivaay pays no heed to it making Pinky all the more furious. Shivaay then meets Anika and tells her that she should get ready for the press conference. Anika tells him that she won't be able to attend the PC as she has some work. Anika hugs Shivaay tightly and leaves. On the other hand, Pinky vows to make Anika's life hell.
Anika confronts Mahi about the truth. Hearing this from Anika, Mahi gets the shock of his life. He tried to brush aside all of this and pretend like it's a lie but Anika tells him that she is not just saying this out of the blue but she has DNA results as proof for this. Shivaay is questioned about Anika at the press conference (on cue from Pinky) which makes him furious. Pinky is happy to see Shivaay get uncomfortable during the press meet.
