Ishqbaaz April 17 written update: Anika takes a bullet for Shivaay
Anika gets hit on the shoulder by the bullet, however, is out of danger.
The episode starts with Anika taking the bullet for Shivaay. Shivaay along with the entire family is shocked. Shivaay rushes Anika to the hospital, amidst this he reminisces about the good times spent with Anika. In the next scene, Anika is shown resting at home. The bullet apparently did not hit her but just missed her by an inch injuring her shoulder in the process.
Shivaay goes to the kitchen to get Anika's medicine. His mom tries to get his attention but Shivaay in his trail of thought completely ignores Pinky for Anika. This upsets Pinky. Shivaay then finds Sahil crying. He comforts him and assures him that his Anika di is safe and sound. Both Shivaay and Sahil shed tears, when Sahil questions him about the tears, Shivaay dismisses it saying that it's nothing, something went into his eyes. Witnessing their bond, Pinky gets jealous and insecure. She feels left out and ignored by her son.
Rudra tells Omkara that today what Shivaay did for Anika, it simply shows how much they are in love with but the only hurdle here is Shivaay's arrogance and pride, his rant about khoon and khaandan. Omkara reiterates that the only thing that is keeping Shivika apart is only Shivaay's ego. Rudra tells Omkara that love can change anything and Shivaay is no different. Once he accepts it, there is no looking back.
Anika gains conscious and tries to sit. Shivaay scolds her for trying to be a superwoman all the time. He lashes at her for taking the bullet. Anika reminds him that he too did the same for her. The duo shares some romantic moments. Anika teases him that he tries to show all tadi [attitude] but she can see that he is feeling the pain. Shivaay does not have a comeback. He again asks her why did she have to do that. Anika's blows his mind by saying, "Goli aapko lagti ya mujhe, jaan toh meri hi jaati."
Flustered by this sweet confession, Shivaay tries to divert the topic to which Anika says awww. She tells Shivaay when he doesn't have a comeback he looks cute just like Billu. She tells him that even though he doesn't say anything, his eyes speaks a lot and she knows what he wants to tell her. Shivaay looks on confused.
On the other hand, Mahi asks Kamini why did she have to hit Shivaay with a bullet. He says, he is bad but not very bad. Kamini insults him yet again but Mahi says it is when he stayed with them that he realized the importance of family.
