Shakti Astitva ke Ehsaas ki – written update – 17th April 2017 - Preeto conspires against Harman and Saumya’s child
Chintu is taking care of Harman and Saumya’s child when Preeto sends him to get medicines with Raavi and abandons the child on the couch with not a soul to watch over him
Harman escorts Mallika di outside the house. He thanks her for coming over and giving Saumya presents. He tells her that he wants Saumya to feel like a mother too and he wants to protect her from Preeto and her comments. Mallika di tells him that she wishes the best for Saumya and him always.
Preeto cries her heart out thinking of all the things that have occurred over the past few days. Harak Singh tries to console her, but Preeto is inconsolable. Preeto says that she, with her own two hands had kept each and every toy away for her grandchild. She says that she could live without anything but she cannot deal with the room filled with toys for her grandchild, now empty. She tells Harak Singh to stop her toy making business. She tells him to start a stone making business as this would not have any impact on their lives whatsoever. Harak Singh tells Preeto that they are Harman’s parents and Harman is not their parent. He tells Preeto not to ever cry in front of Harman ever again.
Saumya tells Harman that she does not care whether anybody accepts her not, all she wants is that everybody treats her child as one of their own.
Maninder and Dadi talk and Maninder tells Dadi that they should talk to Saumya in order to get Surbhi’s life back on track. Maninder tells Dadi that somehow Saumya should find out that Surbhi is staying at Maninder’s house and wants to get a divorce from Harman. Surbhi over hears this conversation and tells Maninder and Dadi that if they truly love her, they should do what makes her happy. Nani tells Surbhi to talk to her father properly as he loves her a lot. Surbhi tells Nani that all she wants is for everybody to love Saumya a little too.
Saumya and Harman look at their child, and Saumya says that children are extremely innocent and do not care whether their parents are men, women or kinnars. Harman says that he too is innocent and does not care that Saumya is a kinnar. Saumya tells Harman that she is worried about Surbhi and her whereabouts.
Balwinder apologises to Raavi and she too apologises to him. The two decide to stay together happily. Just then Balwinder’s phone rings and Raavi insists that he answer the phone and tell his father the truth. Balwinder’s father tells him that if he does not come home before the evening, he will bar him from the property. Raavi tells Balwinder that she will ask her father for her share of the property.
Saumya walks up to Preeto in the kitchen and tells her that she will make the tea. Preeto, in the fear and anger that Harman will anyway come and yell at her if Saumya is not allowed to do as she pleases, lets Saumya make the tea. Chintu comes and asks Saumya to let him take care of the baby as she is cooking in the kitchen. Preeto sees Chintu handling the child and instantly asks him to go and get her medicines with Raavi. Saumya walks out of the kitchen to find nobody by her child. She sees that the child is about to fall off the couch. Preeto hides behind a pillar and merely watches this happen.
The tray with a tea-cup and glass of milk fall out of Saumya’s hand and shatter to the ground as she runs towards her child in order to prevent him from falling to the ground.
She manages to save him. Just then Harman comes and asks Saumya whether everything is fine or not and Saumya says it is.
Chintu then hands Preeto the medicine she asked him to get and Harman stares at him.
