Beyhadh 14th April Written Update - The case continues
The case is now fought by Maya’s lawyer, Samay plays a pivotal role as eye witness
Maya takes off her robe in court and shows everybody her bare body. Maya’s body is covered with marks. Everybody in court is embarrassed. Maya stands in front of the judge and tells the judge that she admits to having created all the wounds on herself. She tells everybody that she is lying in court and her case is a lie. Maya tells everybody that the proof of her lie is her body covered with wounds.
Maya looks at Saanj and tells her that she is indeed crazy, but she needs help from Saanj for justice.
Maya says that no matter who the woman may be, she has the right to her own body and nobody can take that away from her. She says that Ayan is her husband’s brother and she says that a relationship between Maya and Ayan is meant to be that of friendship. Maya says that when Ayan was touching her, Maya felt as if a million insects are running over her. Maya says that she did not know what she did to deserve this. Maya then says that Ayan tried to rip the clothes off her body. She weeps saying that once again, Maya has been bare bodied in front of everybody in court. Arjun puts Maya’s robe back on her. Maya says that after what happened to her, Maya felt like giving up her life, but it was Arjun who stopped her.
Maya’s lawyer then showcases Maya’s medical report as evidence in the court of law confirming that Ayan’s DNA has been found on each of Maya’s wounds. Ayan denies it and Arjun leaps out at Ayan, in order to hit him.
Maya’s lawyer then shows the court the CCTV footage from the night when Ayan tried to rape Maya. Ayan asks why only the footage from one camera has been shown. The lawyer says that he broke all the camera’s that night itself and forgot to break this one. Saanj then says that Maya is the one who broke the cameras and not Ayan.
Maya’s lawyer then calls Samay upon as an eye witness in favour of Mayas case.
Maya’s lawyer then announces in court that Saanj had asked Samay to leave the city but luckily the cops found him and got him back.
Samay then states his version of the scene from that night. He says Ayan was on top of Maya. The lawyer asks Samay what Maya was screaming out. Samay says she was screaming for help. The lawyer then asks Samay what he did after and when Samay says he got Ayan off Maya and the lawyer cuts him off and asks him why he slapped Ayan. The lawyer then asks Samay what condition Maya was in post the incident. Samay’s story proves that Maya was not in the wrong.
The lawyer then concludes his case by saying that even if Maya was a crazy person she has the right to her body and Ayan had indeed tried to violate that right and hence must be put behind bars.
Saanj tries her best to continue fighting the case, but the judge tells her to stop defending her client to such an extent. She then tells her that she will get a lot of time once Ayan goes to jail.
The judge announces her decision in favour of Maya and Ayan is sentenced to time in prison.
