The Kapil Sharma Show – April 9th 2017 Written Update - A musical night for Kapil Sharma
Bappi Lahiri takes the kapil Sharma Show on a musical journey along with the Indian Idol Top 5 contestants performing a couple of his hit numbers for the audience
Kapil starts off the show by describing various individuals and their different encounters at different restaurants. A man in the audience stands up and tells Kapil that even though he has been married for several years; his wife still cannot make a round chapatti. On hearing this Kapil tells him that a wife is not to only make chapatti’s. The man then states that his wife has been told not to eat junk food and hence she does not even allow him to eat any junk food. Kapil makes fun of him and sarcastically tells the man that his life is full of sorrow. Kapil tells the man’s wife to ask him to make round chapatti’s. Kapil asks the audience if any of them want to talk to him as he is in the mood to chit chat. A 12th standard child stands up and narrates to Kapil an incident where in their college canteen, he and his friend had a laddoo eating competition and he won. Kapil tells him that looking at his size he does not doubt that he won the competition. Kapil asks the boy what his aim in life is and the boy says he wants to do an MBA. Kapil in a joking manner asks him whether he will leave food and do his MBA or not.
Post a little bit of audience interaction, Bappi Lahiri makes a smashing entry on The Kapil Sharma Show with the Tamma Tamma song playing in the background. Sidhuji praises Bappi Lahiri and Bappi Lahiri in return says that Kapil and Sidhu ji are his favourites. Kapil tells the audience that Bappi Lahiri is a part of the Guinness Book Of World Records due to his great doings in the music industry. Bappi Lahiri narrates to everybody the incident of how his mother gifted him a kada from the golden temple post his first hit stint and he continues to wear it and believe that, that kada is his lucky charm. Bappi Lahiri tells everybody that only one person managed to strike a chord in his heart and that is his wife.
Kapil asks Bappi Lahiri whether Michael Jackson was a fan of his. Bappi Lahiri says that Michael Jackson saw him sitting somewhere once and was awestruck by his Ganpati gold chain. He asked Bappi Lahiri who he was and on hearing his name and the fact that he was the composer of Disco Dancer, Michael Jackson started singing’ Jimmy Jimmy Jimmy, aaja aaja aaja.’
Kapil then tells the audience, that Bappi Lahiri started learning the table when he was just three years old. Bappi Lahiri says that classical music was in his blood as his parents were famous singers in Kolkata. BappiDa tells everybody that his father’s dream was to be well-known in Kolkata, but it was BappiDa’s dream to be a big man in the city of dreams, Mumbai. Bappi Da then sings Mumbai se aaya mera dost and everybody enjoys the musical atmosphere.
Kapil then calls upon the show, the Indian Idol winner and the top 5 contestants. Khuda Baksh, LV Revanth, Rohit, Mohit and Maalavika Sundar pay a tribute in their magical voices to BappiDa.
Kapil welcomes and introduces the five talented singers to Bappi Lahiri. Kapil jokes around with LV Revanth and asks him that as he has been a playback singer for bahubali, does he at least know why Katappa killed Bahubali. Kapil then asks all the contestants which judge troubled the contestants the most and the contestants say Sonu Nigam. Mohit then imitates Khuda Baksh. Sarla makes an entry and dances to ‘oo la la oo la la’ from the dirty picture.
Sarla tells Bappi Lahiri in Bengali that she is extremely happy that he has graced their show. Kapil makes fun of Sarla’s lips and tells her that in her outfit she is looking like mowgli.
Sarla requests Bappi Lahiri to sing a romantic song in order to awaken a little bit of romance in Kapil’s heart too. The Indian Idol stars joke amongst themselves and tell everybody about Rohit’s bathroom incident wherein their mentor walked into a bathroom that Rohit was in causing him a lot of embarrassment.
Mohit sings one of his devotional songs for the crowd. Bappi Lahiri promises Mohit in front of the crowd that he will be singing in his next film.
Maalavika sings Bhare Naina on being requested by Kapil to sing it for the crowd. Chandu then walks on to the set and dances to I am a disco dancer. He walks in with two Russian girls and tells Kapil Sharma not to talk to them as they won’t understand a word of what he says. The crowd is in splits.
The stars and the crowd starts imitating Chandu’s way of clapping. Chandu cracks a joke on Kapil Sharma regarding his brawl with Sunil grover by saying, ‘Dr. Ko fix it ki jiye.’ Chandu then cracks a singing joke. Khuda Baksh sings the melody, Mast Mast Do Nain and Chandu dances along. Kapil then tells the Russian girls that Khuda Baksh is a great singer. The girls then flirt with Khuda Baksh in a joking manner.
The show ends on a musical note!
