Maninder calls Harak Singh’s blood dirty and Harak Singh tries to kill Maninder
Everybody accuses Maninder of being a kinnar, and not a man for producing a daughter who is actually a kinnar. Maninder gets angry and tells Harak Singh that his son is the one behind a kinnar so his blood is dirty. Harak Singh angered by his statements, tell Maninder, that he will not leave the Singh house alive. Harak Singh gets out a gun and aims it at Maninder, in order to shoot and kill him. Preeto stops him.
Saumya begs Harman to let her go out into the living room and handle the situation and just then the gun goes off and Harman and Saumya hear a gunshot.
Harak Singh fires the gun, but Preeto redirects it towards the ceiling saving Maninder’s life.
Harman and Saumya are shocked on seeing the scenario. Preeto asks Maninder Singh to leave their house.
Maninder prior to leaving tells Saumya that she was only born into his family in order to be an embarrassment to the family. Harman tells Maninder that Saumya is not an embarrassment but it is infact Maninder’s thoughts that are an embarrassment. As Nani is about to shower Saumya with love, Harman asks her to leave them alone.
Preeto looks up at Saumya in anger and then looks at Harman and tells him that she feels like burning herself as she has produced a son of this sort.
Harman walks away with Saumya. Harman locks Saumya in their bedroom and goes back down to face his family. He tells Preeto to talk to him now, one on one.
Preeto calls Saumya a kinnar and Harman stops her. He tells Preeto that she can say whatever she wants to him but not to Saumya. Preeto tries to explain to Harman that Saumya is not right for him and Harman cuts her off by saying Saumya is the love of his life apart from being the daughter-in-law of their house. He tells her that she wanted an heir to their family and he has got her that. Preeto tells him that he does not understand what having a child means.
Meanwhile Saumya bangs on her bedroom door, hoping that Harman will open the door.
Preeto tries to show Harman things that she has saved in a trunk. Harak Singh tries to stop her but in vain. Preeto shows Harman things belonging to another man, the man who was her first husband. Harman is shocked on hearing this. Preeto narrates to him the story of how, Harak Singh’s older brother wedded her and got her into the house. She tells him about her dreams to be a mother post marriage. She tells Harman that her dreams to become a mother were crushed b the fact that her first husband left her a few years after marriage. She pours out her heart and tells him how people used to call her a bad omen. Preeto tells Harman that as he is not a woman he will not understand the meaning of becoming a mother. She tells him how after her husband passed away, she was about to leave the Singh household and go away, when Harak Singh held her hand and her whole life was filled with dreams and love. Preeto explains to Harman, that the only reason Harak Singh married Preeto is because he cared about the respect and reputation of his family. She tells Harman that he is ruining that respect by running after a kinnar. Preeto continues and goes on to tell Harman that she will never accept the child that he has adopted as the heir to her family and warns him that the heir to their family will only be born through the womb of a woman in that household.
