The hot and happening Sahil Salathia very well knows how to grab eyeballs. The actor captivated the minds of the audience with his role as Arjun In Ashutosh Gowariker's TV fictional, Everest.
One glimpse at his Instagram profile and you will get to know that this handsome hunk is also passionate about traveling. His social networking account has umpteen number of pictures clicked by Sahil, portraying the beauty of the world's finest cities.
"Travelling is something that will add on to your life. When in your 50's, you should have something different when you look back at your past, some adventurous stories to tell your kids. I feel one should travel a lot," says Sahil while talking to Pinkvilla.com. "Travelling builds up one's personality. In fact, I feel, I have evolved so much as a person because I travel so much. I have actually made a promise to myself that every year, on my birthday in April, I will ring in that day in a new country! It's been 6 years now that I am in a different country on my birthday, no matter what. Even if I am busy shooting, I take a leave for a few days and I am off to a new country. I am very spontaneous when it comes to traveling!" shares Sahil.
The idea of traveling alone might be intimidating to some but Sahil surely loves this increasingly popular concept. The actor has traveled about 50 countries of the world. His first solo trip was to Turkey when he was 22. From Paris to Budapest and Los Angeles to Jakarta, Maldives to Beijing, Macau to Malaysia and Spain to Venice - Sahil has explored and appreciated the glorious art & culture around the world. In fact, he marked his half-century with Greece this year!
Ask him one country he is eagerly waiting to explore and Sahil instantly says, "Tokyo! That country is my number one spot right now. I was supposed to go there on my birthday this year but ended up going to Europe. I mean Tokyo is such a different place. The world is one side and Japan is one the other. The technology, fashion, culture everything is different!"
On the work front, Sahil has recently finished filming his first Hollywood film, (The Heartbeats-ital) directed by Mr.Duane Adler (Step Up series) and is also in a three-film deal with AGPPL (Ashutosh Gowariker productions private limited). His festival film, (There Will be Tomorrow), that promotes a social cause where he plays an HIV-positive protagonist was critically acclaimed and received a rousing applause by the Goa Government.
