Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai: Saas-bahu tiff between Devyaani and Akshara on Raksha Bandhan! (In pics)

The cold war between Maheshwari bahus Varsha and Jasmeet have ended but a new kind of drama has started between Akshara and her MIL Devyaani.

We know that Akshara is a doting daughter0in-law and she has tried making Devyaani confortable in the Singhania house post her marriage right from the beginning.

However, some recent incidents have created such misunderstanding between the duo that Devyaani is majorly miffed with Akshara.

One reason for Devyaani’s anger is when once her daughter Muskaan had requested her to allow her to go out of town for her higher studies, her plea was turned down ‘coz her mother wanted her to be near her till she gets married. However, when Muskaan’s request reached Akshara’s ears, she sweetly assured her to do whatever she could to get arrangements done for her study out of Udaipur, if she wants that.

This incident left an impression on Devyaani’s mind that Akshara is trying to be authoritative and control her children, Muskaan and Naman. A few more events played a role in souring the relationship between Akshara and her new MIL.

And now, the misunderstandings have increased to such an extent that they took the shape of an argument recently.

During the Raksha Bandhan track in the one of the recently aired episodes, Naitik’s sister Rashmi visits the Singhania house for tying him Rakhi.

Rashmi has not yet accepted Devyaani as her new mother and even dislikes her step siblings Muskaan and Naman.

Muskaan asked Rashmi if she could take her baby Gayu with her and play. Rashmi reluctantly gave permission to Muskaan but got furious when the latter fell down on the floor with baby Gayu.

However, Muskaan did not let Gayu fall and saved her from getting hurt. Looking at the scene, Rashmi blurted out some objectionable things for Muskaan. Rashmi further said that since Muskaan is not her real sister, she knew beforehand that she won’t take care of her baby Gayu.

Looking at Muskaan being rebuked, Devyaani joined the argument to defend her daughter. But Rashmi refused to listen to Devyaani and insulted her. This shocked Devyaani immensely.

To save the situation from getting worse, Akshara tried resolving the matter but Devyaani asked her to shut up as she has been trying to control her and her children very often.

Hearing Devyaani say bitter words about her, Akshara broke down into tears. Devyaani left the scene in angry mood leaving behind every member of the house worried and shocked.

Later, Bhabhima sends Akshara with Naitik and Naksh to her parental home to celebrate Raksha Bandhan. And on the other hand, Bauji tried talking to Devyaani to clear the misunderstanding between her and Akshara.

Devyaani softened down and wept for behaving rudely with Akshara.

But does this mean that the saas-bahu fight is over now? Or there will be more such arguments after a brief pause? We have to wait and watch to know that.
