Bigg Boss 9 Day 81: Gutthi flirts with BB, smashes cake on “Bhukkad” Rishabh’s face; Suyaysh & Prince win best couple; Mandana wins “BB Par Bojh award”!
Excitement to ring in the New Year is in the air as the episode opens up to the party song Student of The Year – Disco Deewane – plays in the morning. Priya badmouths about Rishabh to Suyyash, Kishwer and Nora. They speak about how he swears at the other housemates and that his violent behavior with Priya during the jewel thief task was not appropriate. When Priya confronts Rishabh about the swearing, all housemates take Priya’s side.
Afterwards, the winners of the jewel thief task – Rochelle, Kishwer, Prince and Priya – are asked to mutually nominate two contestants for captainship. By using a chit system for choosing the two contenders Prince and Rochelle are picked to face each other and convince others to support them for captiancy. The housemates have to hook themselves up to the housemate they believe deserves captainship and form a chain with the help of belts. Finally, Prince emerges as the winner and the new captain of the house for the second time!
In the evening, the housemates walk into the garden to find the atmosphere set to bring in the New Year. Balika Vadhu fame Sidharth Shukla enters the house receiving a cordial welcome from the housemates. He announces the New Year event, and as the host of the evening, he introduces set of awards and also says that he is here to update them about the world of TV outside.
A cardboard cut-out in the shape of a TV set shows Gutthi peeping from the other end. Gutthi begins revealing all the news to update the housemates what they have missed out on during their stay in the house! The best LOL-inducing moment comes when she ends the news by saying that Bigg Boss has confirmed that if Gutthi agrees to marry him, he will reveal his face!
The exciting awards session kick-stars with the Kehna Kya Chahti Ho award which results in a tie between Rochelle, Mandana and Nora – and Gutthi gifts them a long tie! Soon after, when the Bhukkad award is announced, there is a tie between Rishabh and Prince tie for the award. However, the housemates vote Rishabh for the award. Gutthi brings out a cake and smashes it on Rishabh’s face and runs out to save herself. After giving Priya the Kaano Ka Khooni award, the Chor award is given to Mandana. Defending herself from the embarrassment, she says, “Mein chor hoon, lekin dil ka chor!” Just when Rishabh receives the “Sidekick” award, actress Adaa Khan makes a sizzling entry dancing to Mera Naam Hai Mary and Tukur Tukur!
Later, Gutthi surprises the housemates by making her re—entry saying she is in because BB has set his eyes on her and she too is desperate for a boyfriend! Breaking his silence on Gutthi’s remarks, BB says, “Mein Tumse Jodi nahi banana chahata, Gutthi!” She then calls Prince to the stage trying to impress him and does a belly dance face off with Nora. The award for the ‘Best Jodi’ is given to Prince and Suyyash and both of them oblige all by showing their bromance on Meri Aashiqui Tum Hi Ho. While the ‘Tu Bahar Mil Mein Batata Hoon’ award goes to Rishabh and the ‘Double Standard’ award goes to Mandana, the ‘Bigg Boss Par Bojh’ award is a tie between Mandana and Suyyash. Keith and Rochelle receive the Fashionable Male and Fashionable Female award.
Finally, the happy night draws close as BB wishes everyone a Happy New Year. Gutthi and Siddharth bid farewell to the housemates wishing them good luck for their onward journey.
