Sunny Leone in Ekta Kapoor's Box Cricket League Season 2
Indo-Canadian actress Sunny Leone is gearing up to make her comeback to TV once again. According to press reports, the Jism 2 actress has bought a BCL team which shall be playing the popular a sport against many other celebrity-owned teams this season.
"People in India love cricket and I have grown extremely fond of the game ever since I moved here. I have been closely associated with sports all my life and this is a great way for me to reconnect with it," confirms the actress.
Sunny’s team has been named Chennai Swaggers, and features A-list celebs like Rithvik Dhanjani, Mouni Roy, Sangram Singh and many more.
Though unaware of the rules of the game, Sunny is an ardent admirer of Master Blaster Sachil Tendulkar. "I didn't watch a lot of cricket growing up but I would hear my father talk about it. If he was alive, all this would be for him," adds the 34-year-old actress.
When asked whether she could get on the field or simply cheer her team from the stands, Sunny said, "Since I am not very good at it, I will leave all the playing to the players," says Sunny, adding that her husband Daniel Weber might take to the field. "He is very outgoing so I wouldn't be surprised to see him on the field, practising and encouraging our players for their big games," she smiles.
The actress also confessed that she would need training for several months or even years before she could even think of doing a cricket movie.
Box Cricket League (BCL) as a property is owned by Ekta Kapoor, Sunny Arora and Anand Mishra.
