Yash Pandit of Splitsvilla 8 and Life OK's Savitri fame slapped with allegations of rape!
Popular face of TV – Yash Pandit – who rose to fame as a strong contestant of Splitsvilla Season 8 – has been charged for allegedly raping an actress.
A news portal reports that Yash became acquainted with this actress on the sets of a TV series. Friendship grew into fondness for each other and soon Yash invited the girl to his house in Juhu so that she could meet his parents. Luring her by promised of marriage, Yash got intimate with her twice in his apartment and raped later afterwards. According to the portal, Yash refused to take any calls or reply to any of the messages sent by the anxious and dejected victim.
The actress revealed that Yash had confessed having illicit relations with other women. Sadly, the complaint filed by the victim by not taken seriously by the Mumbai police. However, a senior police officer said in a statement that the officer in charge of the actress’s case has been replaced with a more dutiful one and all efforts are being put to ensure the absconding rapist gets arrested.
Yash has worked in many TV shows like Kyunkii Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi and Savitri as the male lead. He has also appeared as Mandakini's infant son in Raj Kapoor's Ram Teri Ganga Maili.
