Ek Tha Raja Ek Thi Rani: Gayatri shocked to know why Badi Rani killed Sulakshna!
In the recent episode, we saw Princess Swanalekha reaching the palace with the man hired to impregnate her to produce a heir. Gayatri gets happy to see Swarna after a long gap and welcomes her in warmly. However, before Swarna could open her heart out to Gayatri, she is taken away by her MIL Kokila. In one of the room’s, Kokila and Kunwarji threaten Swarna to cooperate with them and produce a heir. However, Swarna says that she duped them to bring her back to the palace and flatly refuses to do their bidding. Kokila and Kunwarji resort to their wicked tactics again by showing an amputed finger of Swarna’s father. They tell him that if she ignores their wishes, they will kill her beloved ones. Having left with no other option, Swarna breaks down at her helplessness. Gayatri following the veiled woman late at night and reaching the doorstep of a secret store room of the palace. Gayatri peaks from the entrance of the room and watches the woman unveil herself. To Gayatri’s shock, the woman turns out to be Badi Rani Ma (Surekha Sikri), who is none other than Ranaji’s beloved step-grandma. Gayatri sees Badi Rani talking to the skeleton of Ranaji’s former wife Sulakshna and revealing that she killed her but chose to keep her remains as a momento for herself. Badi Rani also confesses about killing Sulakshna because she learnt about her animosity for Ranaji and was eager to enlighten Ranaji about it.
Gayatri walks forward and confronts Badi Rani about killing Sulakshna and deceiving Ranaji by pretending to love him to bits. Badi Rani challenges Gayatri and even picks up a knife to kill her. However, Gayatri takes away the knife in her hands and ends up giving a deep cut on Badi Rani’s pal during the scuffle. She runs to get Ranaji and Raj Mata and brings them to the secret room. Gayatri vehemently recounts what she saw and her encounter with Badi Rani. However, she finds Sulakshna’s skeleton missing and the room’s décor changed completely. While, Raj Mata tries to understand Gayatri, Ranaji refuses to believe her claims saying that she had had a bad dream. Meanwhile, Badi Rani Ma smiles calmly to silently defend herself. Gayatri faints and is ushered to her bedroom where a doctor is called in for her check-up. Badi Rani bribes the doctor for telling everyone that Gayatri is stressed out due to the bomb blast and hence, saw a nightmare. Ranaji and others believe the doctor’s counsel and decide to look after Gayatri.
In the morning, Gayatri wakes up and realises that perhaps she really saw a nightmare. She approaches Badi Rani and seeks apology from her for slapping false allegations on her. Badi Rani smiles wickedly and shows the cut on her palm to Gayatri. Seeing this mark, Gayatri recalls the last night’s events and realises to her shock and dismay that Badi Rani Ma is indeed the perpetrator.
