Diya Aur Baati Hum: Lalima exposed before Sandhy, Suraj; Bhabho decides to give her final verdict
Bhabho, who was so hell-bent in making Lalima as Suraj’s wife and chuck Sandhya for good, is now having a change of heart.
Lalima, who selflessly cured Suraj from mental illness during Sandhya’s long absence, became selfish and obsessed for him when she beheld Sandhya return to her home and hearth. Threatened to see Sandhya back, Lalima and her brother Lokesh made up a story to make the Rathis believe that Suraj had once anointed Lalima’s head with sindoor. Bhabho rejected Sandhya and vowed to make Lalima as Suraj’s wife because she is more worthy. However, Suraj did not give up her tie with Sandhya and decided to stand by her side no matter what. And then began a series of events orchestrated by Lalima to run down Sandhya before Bhabho and other family members. However, despite the entire backlash and false allegations, Sandhya’s truthfulness and love for Suraj saved the day when a few activists landed at the Rathi house on Karva Chauth to arrest Suraj for living with two wives. So, while Lalima stood quiet due to the fear of losing her rights over Suraj, Sandhya came forward to save Suraj from police custody and signed a few papers to ensure that she will leave Suraj for good.
Impressed and awed by Sandhya’s goodness and love for Suraj, the Rathi family saw the difference between Sandhya and Lalima’s love. Later, Bhabhasa made Bhabho realise how wrong she was in judging Sandhya.
Recently, we also saw Sandhya receiving the clues which makes her sure that it was Lalima and Lokesh who had played the tricks to get her kicked out of Suraj’s life. Sandhya confronts Lalima and the latter admits carrying out the wicked deeds to claim Suraj’s rights as his wife. Later, Suraj calls Lalima at the temple where they once met and he tells her that he could never recall anointing her head with sindoor. Moreover, Suraj also says that he reveals that he has gathered all the evidences which prove that it was Lalima who had planned the attacks on Sandhya. Lalima falls short of words to know that Suraj had learnt her truth. She asserts her right on him saying that she put her life at risk and cured him from mental illness. Suraj agrees that indeed he is indebted to Lalima and leaves it on her to decide whether he should choose to live with her or Sandhya. Lalima’s heart sinks as she wonders what to do.
Back at the Rathi house, Bhabho is seen guilt-ridden for misjudging Sandhya and saying bad things to her. She prays to the Lord to help her take the right decision and choose the deserving woman as her bahu. Lalima returns to the Rathi house and the women of the house get ready to perform the rest of the ceremonies of Karva Chauth.
