Diya Aur Baati Hum: Suraj upholds Sandhya’s honour by refusing to accept his self-proclaimed wife Lalima’s deal!
Now that Lalima has waged a silent battle against Sandhya to have Suraj for herself, she is leaving no stone unturned to run down Sandhya. On the other hand, Sandhya is unassumingly trying to win back the trust and love of the Rathis by doing the right actions in a guileless manner.
In the recent episode, we saw Sandhya giving full support to Suraj in starting his new sweets business. Since, Suraj’s parents had ended up spending all his funds in getting his mental ailment treated during Sandhya’s 8-month-long absence; Suraj makes an effort to re-establish himself by kick-starting a mobile sweets shop. He purchases the required raw material and a cart and names his new mobile shop as ‘Rathi Mishthan Bhandar’. Suraj, Sandhya and their son Ved happily ask Bhabho, Bhabhasa and other members of the family to join them for the inauguration of the new business. Bhabho, in turn, asks Lalima to join them and credits her for Suraj’s new endeavour.
However, when everyone beholds Suraj with the mobile shop, they get stumped and baffled. Bhabho feels bad for Suraj as she watches him toiling hard in the sun without any roof. Suraj assures her that with her blessings, he will soon make it big. Sandhya notices Suraj’s discomfort and like a loving wife brings an umbrella to provide shade to him while her works his hands in making jalebis for all.
Lalima thinks of a plan to defeat Sandhya and please Bhabho even more by offering a deal to Suraj. She brings papers of partnership of the original Rathi Misthan Shop which was sold by Suraj to Lalima’s father earlier. She tells Suraj that he can work as her business partner in the shop on profit sharing basis. Bhabho gets happy with Lalima’s gesture and shares her thoughts with Bhabhasa.
However, Suraj leaves everyone, more so Lalima, shocked by refusing her deal. He reiterates that he will stand up on his own and follow the ideals of his mother. Lalima feels insulted and strengthens her resolve to defeat Sandhya very soon.
