Diya Aur Baati Hum: Suraj refuses to give Sandhya’s place to Lalima; Bhabho snatches Sandhya’s rights and gives them to Lalima!
In the latest episode, we saw the Rathis doing the morning aarti at their residence in Hanuman Gali. Lalima (Shefali Sharma) and her brother Lokesh join the family for the morning prayers. After getting done with the aarti, Bhabho asks Suraj to go ahead and declare who he would choose between Lalima and Sandhya. She tells him to be just and fair in his decision signalling towards choosing Lalima who gave up her all to cure his mental ailment. Suraj picks the garland and moves towards Sandhya. However, he passes by Sandhya and instead puts the garland on Lalima. While, Lalima gets delighted with Suraj’s choice, Sandhya breaks down into tears. Suraj beings his monologue by saying that he is indebted to Lalima for whatever she did for him, but he has already given his heart to Sandhya. Hence, he can’t do injustice to her by embracing Lalima for an action he took in a spur of the moment. He adds that for him Lalima will always be worthy of reverence, but his love will only be for Sandhya. Finally, makes it clear that he can’t part ways with Sandhya at any cost. Bhabho gets disappointed and angry at Suraj for choosing Sandhya over Lalima and decides to give all right of her eldest daughter-in-law to Lalima. Shocked over Bhabho’s resolution to bestow all rights on Lalima, Emily and Bhabhasa ask Bhabho to rethink about her decision.
Sandhya begs Bhabho to forgive her; but unrelenting Bhabho shows her something on the laptop which shocks her and the entire house.
