At the beginning of 2018, Ranveer Singh left the audience stunned with his performance as Alauddin Khilji in Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Padmaavat. Now, the actor is all geared up for his second release of 2018 - Simmba. The film is helmed by Rohit Shetty and also stars Sara Ali Khan. Simmba will be Sara's second Bollywood film as she made her debut this year with Abhishek Kapoor's Kedarnath.
In Simmba, Ranveer will essay the role of a cop named Sangram Bhalerao. This is the first time Singh will be seen as a policeman. The audience is impressed with the trailer and the songs and are looking forward to seeing Ranveer and Sara's chemistry in the film. To make sure his film reaches the larger audience, the Lootera actor has promoted the film on all the platforms.
Ranveer Singh not only visited different reality and comedy shows, he also promoted his film on fictional comedy drama Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah. On the sets of TMKOC, Ranveer's energy and enthusiasm brought a new life to the sets. The star cast of Taarak Mehta was cheered up and happy seeing him on the sets. They all had lot of fun together and also danced with Ranveer Singh.

In Simmba, Ajay Devgn, who plays a cop in Rohit Shetty's Singham series will also have a special appearance. The cast of Golmaal - Arshad Warsi, Shreyas Talpade, Kunal Kemmu and Tusshar Kapoor also have a special appearance in the song Aankh Marey.
Simmba is slated to release on December 28, 2018.
