EXCLUSIVE: Kanan Gill on Kapil Sharma-Sunil Grover controversy - I don't encourage such sort of behaviour
In an interview with us, Kanan Gill opened up the ugly spat which happened between Kapil Sharma and Sunil Grover.
Kapil Sharma has been in news for his ugly spat with Sunil Grover. According to reports, Kapil had physically abused Sunil while they were coming back from their show in Australia. Following their fight, Sunil left the show completely.
Recently, we got to meet Kanan Gill who has been on a promotional spree for his upcoming film, Noor. He is himself a comedian and when we asked him about the controversy. He told us, "I don't even if it's true. All I want to say that it's not just restricted to one profession, people fight everywhere. And if it's true, I don't encourage such sort of behavior."
Post the reports went viral, even TV actor Karan Patel took a dig at Kapil saying, "Kapil Sharma's incident proves that if you want to be LOVED and RESPECTED for LIFELONG and NOT MOMENTARILY ... there jus one simple thing to do ... Head on your shoulders and feet firm on the ground."
Not just Kapil Sharma who has been in news, but TVF founder Arunabh Kumar also has been in headlines for reportedly molesting women at the workplace. We asked Kanan about his take on it. To which, he said, "I think the one positive thing which has come out of it is that people are now talking about it. Companies first didn't have any policy, but now they do have. I don't want to to speculate about it. Let the formal investigation happen."
In an interview, Arunabh said, "I am a heterosexual single man and when I find a woman sexy, I tell her she is sexy. I compliment women, is that wrong?" Twinkle has replied him in a blunt tone in a column in leading daily, "Sexy’ is an acceptable compliment within a work environment only if she is a stripper and you are her pimp trying to boost her confidence before she takes the stage."
