Balika Vadhu's Shashank Vyas aka Jagya remembers his Anandi aka Pratyusha Banerjee on her 1st death anniversary

April 1, 2016 saw the sad and unfortunate demise of one of the leading actresses in television, the beautiful Pratyusha Banerjee. 

While the actress has been a part of many hit shows like Sasural Simar Ka, our favourite character of hers will always be of Anandi in Balika Vadhu. Her chemistry with Shashank Vyas who played Jagya in the movie was loved by all their fans.

As yesterday marked the first death anniversary of the actor, Shashank took to Instagram to remember his co-star and a good friend.

He shared a black and white throwback picture of the two during their Balika Vadhu days. His message for her will surely leave you teary eyed.

Meanwhile, a prayer meet was held yesterday for the late actor. There was also the launch of the last short film she was a part of titled Hum Kuchh Keh Na Sakey. The event saw her good friend Kamya Punjabi alongside her parents - dad Shankar Banerjee and Soma Banerjee as well as the producer Neerusha Nikhat.

As Pratyusha's mother got emotional at the event, she spoke about how men have to stop harassing women. She said, "On this eve of Navratri, I just want to say that girls come to their parents’ house, but my daughter will never be able to come. I just want to request all men out there to stop harassing women. And ask women to be strong.”
