Chandra Nandni is a royal treat to the eyes; Here's what Ekta Kapoor has to say about Rajat & Shweta!

Star Plus' latest magnum opus, Chandra Nandni has created a lot of excitement amongst fans.
The show that was launched yesterday at a suburban Mumbai hotel, and saw the entire cast making an appearance. While Rajat Tokas will be seen donning the role of Chandragupta Maurya, Shweta Basu Prasad will be seen as Nandini. Rajat was last seen in Ekta Kapoor's Jodha Akbar as King Akbar and Shweta has worked with Ekta 11 years ago, in Kahani Ghar Ghar Ki as a child artist, Shruti.
While talking about the show's lead pair, Ekta said, "Rajat is one of the finest actors and also an extremely shy person. He has almost taken 5 months to prepare for this role. He is the blue eyed boy of Indian Television. For the role of Nandni, we auditioned a lot of people. But when we saw Shweta's audition I was like wow! My Kahaani Ghar Ghar Ki child has grown up. She is simply brilliant"
The show starts from 10th October from 8:30 pm on Star Plus.
