Shantanu Maheshwari transforms to Munni for JDJ 9!
Shantanu Maheshwari is one of the favourites when it comes to the dance reality show Jhalak Dikkhla Jaa! In a soon-to-be-aired episode, he will be seen in a different avatar.
For the first time, Shantanu will be seen as a girl onscreen. She will be playing Munni from the song Munni Badnaam Hui which was danced to perfection by Malaika Arora Khan in Dabangg 2. His choreographer Alisha will be playing a police inspector.
Shantanu spoke to Pinkvilla about his experience and said, "Firstly, it was an extremely tough process getting into the costume! It was quite painful as well, as I had to shave my legs to get the perfect look and glue my eyebrows too to make it look good. But it was fun, to portray a girl onscreen for the very first time! My mom, on seeing me in that avatar, even jokingly told me that she is so happy to finally have a glimpse of her daughter!"
