The love story of the much-adored couple has gone for a REDUX with the introduction of a parallel universe. Meanwhile, post REDUX, Shivaay and Annika’s characters have witnessed a few changes. While Annika is no longer just Annika but Annika Trivedi, Shivaay is no longer bothered about the naam khoon khandaan but is reeling under the grieve of the death of his parents, Shakti and Pinky.
In an interview with India Forums, Nakuul Mehta opened about shooting for Ishqbaaaz redux. He talked about shooting for the same scene but yet feeling everything a bit different.
The handsome actor said, "This same scene we shot about 2 years ago, and while shooting we were analyzing how things were last time around among other things. All those things keep coming back to you when you're doing the same thing- the characters are a little different, the audio levels are different and nuances have changed. We are having fun obviously, and it's something different. If you pick up a story of how people met somewhere and how, if once again, they come to the same place but do not meet, what happens then is that redux is all about."
