Actress Parul Chauhan won't be a part of Star Plus show Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai. The Bidaai actor reportedly wasn't keen on playing a grandmother's role in the show. Actress Niyati Joshi will now replace Parul Chauhan and soon, she'll be shooting for the show.
In an interview with Indian Express, Niyati opened up about why she said yes to do the role. The actress said that when she first got a call to play the role, she was sceptical as it's difficult to play a grandmother's role at this age. However, she said yes as YRKKH is a well-established show and has fabulous makers who promised her the best.
Niyati said, "t would have been foolish to not take the offer. I am really looking forward to joining the team." Niyati Joshi thinks the show is a sort of comeback and feels blessed that makers have considered her for the role.
The actress said that as the audience is used to seeing a particular face, it is difficult to create your own mark. She called Parul an amazing actor.
About replacing her, Niyati said, " I will bring my own personality to the role and hope the audience will accept and love me."
Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai stars Shivangi Joshi and Mohsin Khan in the lead roles.
