Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai to get a spin off; Harshad Arora and Rhea Sharma to play the lead roles?

Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai is undoubtedly one of the most loved shows on India television and the fact that it is one of the longest running shows as well is proof. The show started off with Hina Khan and Karan Mehra and eventually brought in Shivangi Joshi and Mohsin Khan once the generation leap that came over. Both the pairs have been immensely loved by the viewers, and even today, the popularity of the show has been increasing manifold.

And now, according to the latest reports, the show will soon be getting a spin-off. The Rajan Shahi show has also been in the news earlier when reports about the Director's Kut coming up with a digital show came in. However, they turned out to be false and a mere rumour. Now, the reports also suggest that playing the lead in the spin-off will be actors Harshad Arora and Rhea Sharma. The two are popular for their roles in Beintehaa and Tu Sooraj Main Saanjh Piyaji, respectively.

While a spin-off does seem to be a great idea, we wonder how will the fans react on not having their Kaira as a part of it if at all the spin-off is happening. The trend of spin-off on Indian television first started with Ishqbaaaz's spin-off and later on, following the same was Ekta Kapoor's Kumkum Bhagya. So far, we have seen a mixed reaction to spin-offs, and now, if this one happens, time shall tell what comes through.
