Pankhuri Awasthy got candid about her interest in politics and her plans to join the same. Read to know what the Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai actress said.
Pankhuri Awasthy is currently playing an important role in Star Plus' show Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai. The show stars Shivangi Joshi and Mohsin Khan in the lead role. Along with being a part of the show, Pankhuri Awasthy recently resumed her stories for a degree in teaching. Pankhuri also has a great interest in politics.
About the same, the actress said, "As a young person who thinks about the careers they can pursue in life ahead, I had four options. First was acting which more than a career was an innate passion, the second was doing an MBA in marketing, third was teaching which I've finally signed up for and the fourth option was Politics."
The actress added that Delhi University is a place which is really alive when it comes to political fabric. She also talked about student parties like NSUI, ABVP and AISA which rallied throughout the north campus. At that time, she was so much into politics and she would move away when people from opposite parties would have physical fights during rallies.
About joining politics, Pakhuri Awasthy said, "Serving the country, yes but not here is what I felt that time. Maybe sometime later when I have substantial work and have experience."
