Vikas Gupta on Shilpa Shinde: We are not friends
In yesterday's episode, Vikas Gupta said that he is surprised that fans can only see Shilpa Shinde preparing food and not the other housemates working. Meanwhile, the Bigg Boss 11 finale is scheduled to take place over the weekend.
There’s no hiding the fact that Shilpa Shinde and Vikas Gupta had a controversial history. They were a part of TV show, Bhabhiji Ghar Par Hain. While Shilpa played the role of Angoori Bhabhi, Vikas was the programming head. Reportedly, they had a bitter fight after Shilpa was shown the door from the show. The young producer blamed Shilpa for throwing tantrums and not respecting her contract while she accused him of mentally harassing her.
Their fight continued in the Bigg Boss house also. Shilpa used to torture him in one way or the other. However, their relationship has got better with time. Although, in yesterday’s episode Vikas revealed that they are not friends.
“For the first five weeks or so we did not get along well and later realised that this was not going anywhere, so as mature people we kept that thing away. We could have continued with it (drama of fighting) for 13 weeks as she is a good actor and I am a good writer, ‘’ Vikas said in a media interaction at the Bigg Boss house.
‘’But we thought of taking a break from all this and behave like normal colleagues. We are not friends. There are times when we still don’t get along well, but we try to handle it in a mature manner,” he further added.
Vikas also said that he's surprised that fans can only see Shilpa preparing food and not the other housemates working. "Hina cleans the pot of the bathroom, someone is cleaning the pool, and someone is cleaning the floor. We all are taking part in household work as well as in tasks. But it is funny that in an episode of 45 minutes, audiences only get to see that Shilpa is cooking as if we are not doing anything," he said.
In her defence, Shilpa said she has always participated in all tasks and simultaneously pursues kitchen work. She feels that is why her fans have supported her survival in the show so far. She said, ‘’My fans are supporting me because they can see the hard work. I never take my fans for granted.”
Meanwhile, the Bigg Boss 11 finale is scheduled to take place over the weekend and Shilpa Shinde, Hina Khan, Aakash Dadlani, Vikas Gupta and Puneesh Sharma are currently the top five contestants on the show.
