Thugs of Hindostan is what it was supposed to be, an entertaining film: Shivangi Joshi

Thugs of Hindostan has opened up to a rather mixed response. And while there have many who think the film wasn't up to the mark after all, looks like Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai actress Shivangi Joshi has something different to say. Aamir Khan and Amitabh Bachchan came together for a first time, and while a lot was expected out of the film, Shivangi pointed out something that was more like the obvious.

In her post on social media, Shivangi wrote how the fil is what it is supposed to be and how she sees no point in all the flak it has received. She wrote, "Saw #Thugsofhindustan honestly I didn’t quite understand why the film is getting so much flak. I went with a clean slate and the film entertained me. Can’t speak for anyone else but I thoroughly enjoyed the film. @SrBachchan truly demonstrates why he’s called a legend."

The film opened up to great numbers, but saw a fall on the second day. While there have been many who have touted the film as a one time watch, turns out that Aamir Khan is always expected to do films that have a message and not just entertaining.

In fact, Shah Rukh Khan himself said how he was rather sad about the collections and the reaction to the film. He said how Aamir and Amitji have contributed to the cinema since years and just because a film did not reach the expected level, does not take away what they have done for cinema. He summed up by saying that all he wants is that we give everything a chance.
