Teri Meri Ikk Jindri: Mika Singh tries his hands on rapping; Hopes that audience loves his rap
Mika Singh has turned into a rapper for Adhvik Mahajan and Amandeep Sidhu starrer Teri Meri Ikk Jindri and he has high hopes for the show.
Mika Singh is one of the most talked about singer and music composers in the industry who is known for giving us several hit tracks. While the singer-cum-music composer enjoys a massive fan following, he has come up with a new surprise for his audience. For the first time, Mika has tried his hands on rapping. Yes! You read it right. The renowned singer has composed a rap for Zee TV’s upcoming show Teri Meri Ikk Jindri starring Adhvik Mahajan and Amandeep Sidhu in the lead.
The peppy track gives a glimpse of the story of the show which happens to be a love story in of two totally opposite personalities. Talking about the same, Mika said, “With the very name of Zee TV’s new show, Teri Meri Ikk Jindri being so Punjabi and the concept being that of romance between two seemingly opposite personalities, the promos of the show caught my attention. While jamming with the creative and marketing teams at Zee TV for another show I am doing on the channel, I spontaneously came up with the idea of capturing its essence of this show through rap considering that is the current trend in music. This song comprises a mix of melody and rap and I hope audiences love my rap as much as they are going to love this love story.”
For the uninitiated, Teri Meri Ikk Jindri has been set in the backdrop of Amritsar. Speaking about the storyline, producer Prateek Sharma had stated, “It is a love story of opposites where I believe the two lead characters are a very close reflection of today’s generation as they bring out the two most prevalent mindsets of the youth. While Mahi’s aspirations and sense of responsibility for her family will connect with most young women, Jogi brings forth a very unique philosophical flair and easygoing charm that is sure to make him a favourite amongst the audiences. While one likes to live in sukoon, the other likes to live in junoon. Our entire team has worked extremely hard to capture the authentic style and flavour of Amritsar in this adorable love story. We hope the viewers love and appreciate Mahi and Jogi’s journey.”
To note, the show will be going on air on January 28 on Zee TV.
