Singer Sona Mohapatra has been making headlines for quite some time now. The actress who is fighting the sexual assault case against Indian Idol 11 judge Anu Malik has been speaking her mind and giving bold statements. It was only recently that Mohapatra gave a befitting reply to Anu Malik's open letter and asked him to consult a psychologist. But, Mohapatra is not alone in the battle. Several celebrities have time and again extended their support to her and other women who have accused Anu Malik for his objectionable behaviour in the past.
And the latest to extend her support is none other than the flag bearer of the #MeToo movement in India, Tanushree Dutta, who actually started the wave of #MeToo movement in India. Yes, recently Tanushree praised Mohapatra for raising her voice and standing strong against the evils. In a conversation with Mid-day, lauded and sung praises for Mohapatra and others for fighting the good fight against Anu Malik and his reinstatement. Mohapatra was happy to see this support come from Tansuhree, who is credited to begin this big #MeToo movement in India. Tanshuree in the chat had also criticized the channel where the popular singing reality show is aired for showing dubious standards.
Expressing her happiness for Tanushree's for her support, Mohapatra took to her Instagram handle to write a Thanksgiving note for Tansuhree. She mentioned that her battle is not against a single man, but against the whole system that encourages such behaviour and feels that sexual harassment is normal. She said that she will fight this battle until the very end and expressed her gratitude towards everyone who has stood by her and supported her in this big fight of 'good versus evil'.
