Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah star Dilip Joshi aka Jethalal Champaklal will reportedly be going to Rajasthan to campaign for Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in the Rajasthan Assembly Elections 2018. He will be campaigning for BJP candidate Lalit Ostwal, who is contesting from Bari Sadri Assembly seat. in Chittorgarh district of Rajasthan.
Dilip Joshi is expected to pull a huge crowd for the BJP candidate, given his colossal popularity as one of the lead characters in Taarak Mehta Ka Oolta Chashma. The said show is one of the longest running shows on Indian television and is based on playwright Taarak Mehta’s column ‘Duniya Ne Undha Chashma’ in Gujarati weekly magazine Chitralekha. The polling for 200-seat Rajasthan Assembly will be held on December 7, 2018. The poll result will be declared on December 11, 2018.
Meanwhile, speaking about Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah, for all those who were missing Disha Vakani a.k.a Dayaben on the show, reports suggest that she might not come back after all. Disha, who went on a break post motherhood, is reportedly asking for a huge amount to return which the makers are not ready to shell and has certain terms and conditions which the makers are finding it difficult to adhere to. However, nothing more on that front has been known on this so far.
