Disha Vakani a.k.a Dayaben, who is currently on a maternity break, will resume shooting in another two months. The actress took a hiatus as she delivered her baby girl Stuti in November last year.

As per sources, Disha who is currently on a maternity break will resume shooting in another two months. The 39-year-old actress took a hiatus as she delivered her baby girl Stuti in November last year and has been enjoying motherhood since then.
Producer Asit Modi told Bombay Times that talks are on with Disha and if everything goes well, she will be back on the show in two months’ time. Well, while the show is still maintaining a good rating, but this news is what most Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chasmah lovers would have been waiting for!!! Disha Vakani tied the knot with Mumbai-based Chartered Accountant, Mayur Padia in November 2015. In Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah, Daya is shown as the mother of Tapu and TV actor Dilip Joshi plays her husband, Jethala Champaklal Gada.
In another news from the show, Nirmal Soni, who originally played Dr Hathi when the show started back in 2009 has been confirmed to join the cast as the new Dr Hathi. The late actor Kavi Kumar Azad played the role of Dr Hathi, before passing away in July due to a cardiac arrest. The makers of were on a lookout since then and then zeroed in on Nirmal Soni.
