Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah: Producer Asit Kumar Modi wants Disha Vakani to return as Dayaben?
Since 2017, Disha Vakani isn't a part of Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah as she went on a maternity break. Her fans thought she would return to the show, but a few months ago, the actress said she has quit the show. Now, the producer of the show wants her to come back.
Disha Vakani became popular as Dayaben because of the show Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah. In 2017, she took a maternity leave and she recently confirmed that she has quit the show. Since then, there are reports that makers are looking out for a replacement of Disha to play the character of Dayaben.
However, while talking to Times Now, the producer of the show, Asit Kumar Modi hinted at the possibility that he would like Disha to return to the show. Asit told the channel that the show is not theirs, it belongs to the viewers now and they love her. He wants the actress to return to the show as viewers love her a lot.
Asit added that he will not disappoint the fans of Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah. He added, "Show kisike liye ruka nahi hai. Show sabse upar hai. Aati hai toh bohot acchi hai, yeh toh sone pe suhaaga hai. Agar koi bhi aayega, toh accha hi hone wala hai."
There were speculations that Ami Trivedi was approached by the makers to play Dayaben's role. However, she refused the same.
