A day after it was reported that Disha Vakani is finally back on Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah, her husband Mayur Padia made surprising revelations about her return. Here are the details.
It’s been over two years since Disha Vakani aka Dayaben has been missing from Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah. The actress had left the show following her maternity break in 2017. While her fans have been eagerly waiting for her return for two long years now, there have been endless speculations about Disha’s comeback on the show. However, Disha’s fans took a sigh of relief recently after it was reported that the actress is finally back on the show.
It was reported that the actress has ended her two years break and has shot for a special episode of Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah lately. Indeed, the TMKOC fans are delighted over this news and can’t wait to see Dayaben back on the screen. It was also reported that she is likely to resume the shooting full time soon. However, contrary to the rumours, Disha’s husband Mayur Padia clarified that the actress is yet to take her call on her full-fledged return on the show. In fact, she is still in talks with the makers of the show and is looking forward to reaching an amicable solution soon.
During an interaction with Bombay Times, Mayur stated, “She has shot for a portion of the episode, but our talks with the makers still remain unresolved. So, she will not return to the show for good. We are hoping that we reach an amicable solution.”
On the other hand, producer Asit Modi, who is happy to have Disha back even for a small segment, said that they are hopeful that the actress will join the show back soon. “I must confess that talks are still on between us, and we hope to reach a solution soon. We have been in talks with Disha for months now. Like I said before, nobody is bigger than the show,” he added.
To recall, it was reported that Disha had certain conditions for her return on Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah including a major hike in her fees along with flexible shoot timings as per requirement. While the makers aren’t comfortable with her demands, they have been trying hard to strike a deal with her. We wonder if they will reach an amicable solution soon.
