Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashma: Vibhoutee Sharma denies rumours of replacing Disha Vakani as Dayaben
Rumours were doing rounds that the newcomer Vibhoutee Sharma might replace Disha Vakani as Dayaben on Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashma. However, the actress denied the reports recently. Read on.
The comedy drama Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashma is getting love by the audience since many years. The funny show has always topped TRP charts too. However, the actress Disha Vakani who played the role of Dayaben, the lead character, had been on a maternity break and hasn't returned to the show since 2 years now. The audience and the makers expected her to return on the show. But she had some of her own terms and conditions to return on the show which were not accepted by the makers.
Since then, the team has been searching for a new main lead. Reports said that the newcomer Vibhoutee Sharma will replace Disha as Dayaben on the show. However, the actress, who has previously done roles in Humne Li Hai Shapath and Ye Hai Aashiqui rubbished all the rumours. There were reports saying that she might be the strongest and appropriate contender to replace Disha. So, the search for a new Dayaben still continues.
While talking to TOI, Vibhoutee had said, "I don’t know where these rumours are coming from. I am not replacing Disha Vakani in Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah, neither have I given any mock test. I am not interested in doing TV shows. I have currently taken a break from doing TV shows. This is really funny. I keep doing ads and was never interested in doing regular daily soaps. I have shot for a film which is in the pipeline."
