Sushant Singh Rajput skipped Zee Rishtey Awards to avoid Ankita Lokhande?
Sushant Singh Rajput & Ankita Lokhande's Pavitra Rishta received a special award.
The Zee Rishtey Awards were held recently and it was a complete starry affair. Television celebrities were all dressed up in a stylish manner and posed at the red carpet. From Divyanka Tripathi to R. Madhavan, popular celebrities were seen at the event.
Zee TV completes 25 years this year and the event was organized in an alluring manner. A very popular and well-known TV actress Ankita Lokhande who was a part of Zee TV's Pavitra Rishta.
Pavitra Rishta had Ankita Lokhande and Sushant Singh Rajput in the lead and that's where their love story began. Recently during the Zee Rishtey Awards, they had a special category where they had a special award for their show Pavitra Rishta.
Sushant Singh Rajput gave this event a miss, resulting in Ankita attending and receiving the award alone. According to reports, Sushant is busy shooting for Kedarnath but we wonder if this was a conscious decision to avoid an awkward encounter with ex-girlfriend Ankita Lokhande.
Speaking of Ankita she is all set for her Bollywood debut and not in a forgettable role but is touted to have bagged one of the prominent roles in Kangana Ranaut starrer Manikarnika - The Queen Of Jhansi.
She will be playing an important character named Jhalkari Bai, the one who used to disguise and shield Rani Laxmi Bai. Her uncanny resemblance to Rani Laxmibai helped her go in disguise and protect her Queen whenever required. And now, the actress has apparently started shooting for the same from Monday, at Ramoji Studios where a huge set has been built to shoot for the film.
