Yeh Hai Mohabbatein star Divyanka Tripathi Dahiya took to her social media to express grief and shock in the wake of the multiple blasts that took place in Sri Lanka on Easter Sunday.
Divyanka Tripathi Dahiya of Yeh Hai Mohabbatein fame took to her social media on Sunday to express grief in the wake of the multiple blasts that took place in Sri Lanka on Easter Sunday. Horrific serial blasts ripped three churches and three hotels in Sri Lanka killing over 150 people and leaving more than 300 injured on Sunday morning. According to reports, the blasts occurred during the Easter Sunday mand in tourist hotels. According to police, the dead include 35 foreigners. It is not yet known if any Indian was hurt or killed in the attack. External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj said she was in constant touch with Indian High Commissioner in Colombo.
Divyanka Tripathi Dahiya revealed that she hopes the familes of the people she knows from Sri Lanka are safe. She further went on to say that such a dastardly act should not go unpunished. Divyanka wrote, “It's shocking! I hope people I know in Sri Lanka...their friends and family is safe? My prayers for those who have lost their loved ones and those who are injured! This dastardly act should not go unpunished! #SriLankaAttack.” The attacks have truly shocked the entire world and people are still in shock and disbelief over it.
Netizens expressed shock and disbelief on social media on Sunday morning. Bollywood stars, too, took to Twitter to condemn the horrific attacks on Easter Sunday. The blasts took place around 8:45 am local time and there were no immediate claims of responsibility. Given the scale of the attacks, the casualty numbers are only set to rise further.
