Shaheer Sheikh has made the audience fall in love with his character Abir in the show Yeh Rishtey Hain Pyaar Ke. The show stars Rhea Sharma as Misthi who plays his love interest. In an interview with IWM, the actor was asked about how their characters and chemistry won the audience's heart in such a short span of time.
Shaheer told the portal, "Knowing the person well and sharing an intimate bond with them often puts people in a comfort zone with each other. Friendship is often a starting point for getting two people close. The show focuses on and portrays Abir and Mishti’s friendship in a very beautiful way. Right from how they met in the most unusual circumstances and connected very strongly with each other since then to have experienced a similar past in case of their fathers, the two always help each other through various situations in their life."
The handsome actor added that Abir and Mishti's bond has grown with time as the best of friends. He also mentioned that the audience is loving the enthralling chemistry between the duo, but they will soon get to see some pleasant surprises in the future episodes.
