Shaheer Sheikh on doing films: Producers and directors also have to believe in me

Shaheer Sheikh is a popular name on TV and he is one of the most loved and talented actors. He has impressed the audience by being a part of different shows and playing different kinds of roles. A lot of TV actors have worked in films so far. Shaheer, who is good looking, as well as talented, have not stepped in Bollywood yet.
While talking to IANS, the actor was asked why hasn't he signed any film yet. Shaheer said, "I am waiting for the right opportunity and character. I am also a little choosy when it comes to work. I need something that excites me, something that I feel I can pull it off."
He further added, "Producers and directors also have to believe in me. The day all these things happen, I will definitely do films." Shaheer Sheikh shared that when he was shooting for Dastaan-E-Mohabbat, he was offered something. However, most big producers or directors won't make a TV actor their main character or the important one.
Shaheer further stated, "The offers I have got till now are mostly from new directors or new production houses. Even if it's from a known production house, it's a role I don't feel excited about."
Currently, Shaheer Sheikh is playing the lead role in Yeh Rishtey Hai Pyaar Ke on Star Plus.
