Shaheer Sheikh on Dastaan-E-Mohabbat: It is a dream role for any actor; Salim is an extremely complex person
Shaheer Sheikh opens up about playing the iconic role of Salim in the show Dastaan-E-Mohabbat.

Shaheer Sheikh is back and how. The handsome actor will be seen playing the role of Salim in the historical magnum opus Dastaan-E-Mohabbat which also stars Sonarika Badoria as Anarkali. Dastaan-E-Mohabbat airs tonight at 8: 30 PM on Colors and is all said to redefine the way we look at the iconic love story. This is the first time Salim and Anarkali's love story is being portrayed onscreen and who better then Shaheer to pull off this iconic role. The actor is obviously very kicked about it.
In a statement, he said, "Salim is a dream role for any actor. I think the most difficult part will be to portray the layers and the pain of the character. He is an extremely complex person so itwont be that simple’ however - that’s what I like about this role. The makers have got the look and the sets right and hopefully we can all do justice to the characters. Being a TV actor, our options are very limited and I feel very lucky to get this opportunity to play the iconic character of Salim." Shaheer, in an earlier interview with PINKVILLA, has reiterated that he would love to play the role of Salim on the small screens and what are the odds?
Are you excited for this? Shaheer was last seen on the small screen in Kuch Rang Pyar Ke Aise Bhi wherein his chemistry with Erica Fernandes was hailed. Shaheer as Dev Dixit won hearts like no one else. He, however, first rose to fame with Mahabharat wherein he played the role of Arjuna.
