Sanjavani 2’s producer CONFIRMS Namit & Surbhi as leads: Auditioned 70 to 80 girls before she was finalised

Sanjavani 2’s producer CONFIRMS Namit & Surbhi as leads: Auditioned 70 to 80 girls before she was finalised

The popular medical drama Sanjivani which premiered in the year 2002 is making a comeback as reboot show and fans of the series are super excited. In an interview with Mumbai Mirror, Siddharth P Malhotra who is the creator and producer of the show confirmed that Ishqbaaaz fame Surbhi Chandna and Yeh Pyaar Nahi Toh Kya Hai actor Namit Khanna will be seen in the lead roles. Gurdeep Kohli who played the role of Dr. Juhi and Mohnish Bahl who featured as Dr. Shahshank will be reprising their roles reboot version of the show which will go on air by July-end.

He said that the show will bring tears to the viewers as it will be a welcome break from the supernatural shows. He told, “In a time of snakes killing people to exact revenge, this show will bring tears to the viewers’ eyes and a smile on their faces." He also said that Rohit Roy and Sayantani Ghosh are the new joinees and they will be seen in important characters. He also added how he auditioned 70-80 girls before zeroing on Surbhi Chandna. He later revealed that unlike the original show, the reboot will showcase the leads as the resident doctors and not interns and added that how it will not be a frivolous show.

The report also stated that the team recently started shooting. He said, “Sanjivani was my first show, so it’s important I don’t let myself and the channel down. The set will be different, the writing will be different.”
