Zindagi Ki Mehak actress Samiksha Jaiswal is now a part of a new show Bahu Begum. The show also stars Arjit Taneja and Diana Khan in the lead roles. In an interview with Indian Express, Samiksha Jaiswal got candid about working in the show.

When asked why did she take so much time to sign another show after Zindagi Ki Mehak, Samiksha said that she was offered the titular role in Manmohini by producer Prateek Sharma. But she was sceptical to play a chudail after doing a positive role. She was also offered several other shows but she couldn't relate to any.

So why did she yes to play Noor in Bahu Begum? Samiksha said that she could relate to the character. The actress added, "Although many don’t want to take such risks, I wanted to go for it. I know that lead characters of any show are considered ‘hero and heroine’ only when they have a love story between them. And here I am playing the best friend. While the fear of becoming a sidekick is there, I decided to take it up as a challenge. I believe in myself and the makers and I know it will turn out to be fruitful."

I would take a nerf bullet for you. My best friend's only mine. Noor Azaan. Don't forget to watch #bahubegum from tomorrow.
