Saam Daam Dand Bhed's Sonal Vengurlekar: I slipped into depression post break-up with Sumit Bhardwaj
Sonal Vengurlekar and Sumit Bhardwaj were in a relationship for three years before they called it off and Sonal slipped into depression but is in a better place now. Sonal also responded to dating rumours with her co-star Varun Toorkey in an interview.
Sonal Vengurlekar of Saam Daam Dand Bhed fame was initially in a relationship with her Shastri Sisters co-star Sumit Bhardwaj (also seen in Beyhadh). While the couple started on a good note, Sonal started releasing that Sumit was slipping away from their three-year relationship and what made matters worse is that post their inevitable breakup, which was a few months ago, Sonal slipped into depression.
Reliving the dark days, Sonal said to a leading daily, "Over the years, I started feeling that there was no affection or value for the relationship from his side. Though I realised that the relationship wouldn’t last, I tried my best to save it, but in vain. I slipped into depression post-breakup and was heartbroken to learn that he moved on quickly and started dating someone else."
Now, she is in a much better place and explained to the daily, "However, I am extremely focused about work and did not let it get affected. My mother realised that I was in a state of depression and helped me come out of it. It took time, but I am glad that I am out of it now.
"I have become more practical. The experience changed my perception towards life and I am happier now," the actor added.
Recently, rumours suggested that Sonal was dating her Saam Daam Dand Bhed co-star Varun Toorkey and when asked about the same, Sonal told the daily, "Varun and I are friends and that’s about it. I’m happily single."
Would Sonal give love another chance? To this, the Yeh Vaada Raha actor positively replied, "I will fall in love again, but I will have a more practical approach towards it. However, currently, my focus is only on doing good work."
